January Task Force Minutes

Meeting was held on January 8th at 7pm at the Snohomish Health District.

We have been discussing whether we wanted to continue advertising in the Seattle Gay News because the Health District has requested that we pay half of the yearly costs, which would be $1,300, an amount many of us thought was too much money. Then the Court in Everett had offered to pay half of our part if they can advertise too. And we officially decided at this meeting to take them up in their offer, and both organizations now will pay $650 for 2008 in the SGN. Thanks to J.J. (aka Starla) for working with us on this.
A budget audit committee was formed, and they will also be the budget planning committee for 2008. They will meet at Brian's home for a meal and the work session, and present the results at the February meeting.
Nominations were opened for a new chairperson and a new secretary for the TF. Robert S. was nominated for secretary and John was nominated for chair. Nominations will be open until the February 5th meeting, at which time we will vote on the new officers. John doesn't really want to do the job, and would love to have someone else step up and help the organization continue doing its good work.
